Who likes diving, he/she must go at least once to Egypt. This part of the Red Sea is one of the most beautiful parts for
diving in the world, for several reasons. It has more than 20 degrees of Celsius all year long and coral reefs comprise
thousands of kinds of hard and soft corals, which form entire huge gardens. An incredibly varied undersea life
flourishes among the corals, an undersea fauna with millions of tiny animals and fishes. This all can be seen even in
small depths up to 20 meters, and moreover with a perfect visibility often up to 50 - 60 meters. Big waves and strong
currents occur here only exceptionally. or just in particular localities. One can see virtually everything here, from
miniature sea spiders, coloured snails, through crabs, cephalophods, prehistoric fishes, snakes, rays, stingrays to
dolphins, grey reef sharks, hammerhead sharks and giant whale sharks. Diving here is both for beginners and experienced
divers. A paradise for shipwreck divers with enormous shipwrecks from perhaps all times including war ships with
ammunition. Diving bases are quite well equipped, with a standard service and with big ships. Prices of diving are
perhaps the lowest in the world. Isn't this cool? On top of all that, it takes just mere four hours of flight from
Czechia directly to the sea. Nevertheless, all these advantages have led to a great boom of diving tourism in recent
years and thereby to a great devastation of the sea. Diving has been gradually shifting more and more southward to
Sudan. |
