Although on Bali, there are not so many diving localities, most of them are really worth it.  Diving on the island is
concentrated above all into three areas. Firstly: the south of the town  Padang Bai, where it is possible to meet big
animals such as manta rays, sharks and ocean sunfishes, secondly: the east in the area around Tulamben, where divers
mostly arrive to visit the shipwreck Liberty and finally: localities on the north.
In the region around the settlement Pemuteran, where there is an undersea hinduist temple  Tempel Garden. This was built
several years ago by a group of local enthusiasts led by the Australian Chris Brown, in an effort to alleviate
devastation of the sea by local fishermen,  who often hunt in the sea by using explosives and poisonous chemicals. The
whole temple consists of 24 sculpture artifacts cut into lava stone including the sacred gate Candi Bentar and
sculptures of various buddhas. The main part of the temple can be found in the depth of 30 meters and another in 15
meters in a coral garden. Diving is possible virtually on the entire Bali  from the shore, unfortunately with a little
worse visibility, but it is mostly done from ships, which arrive to the adjacent, often uninhabited islands.
Nevertheless, it is necessary to say that with regard to strong currents and open sea, diving on Bali is rather for
experienced divers.
