MONTE NEGRO
MONTE NEGROMONTE NEGRO
Diving in Black Mountain  is possible only on few places, as the coast is relatively short and rocky.  Common localities
have sandy or rocky seabeds, sometimes there are caves and walls. Life is scarce here, you can come across little
morays, crabs and crayfishes, visibility next to the coastline is worse. That is why people go to Black Mountain first
of all to visit shipwrecks, as there are really many of them both from the WWI. and WWII., especially in Boka Kotorska
Bay, which has served as an anchorage of military ships already since Austria-Hungary.
Several nice and preserved shipwrecks are located several tens of minutes of sailing from the picturesque town Gerceg
Novi, where there is a base of SSI. It lies in the depth of 30m with quite a good visibility.
Far more interesting, however, is the sunken Austrain cruise Zenta, lying on the seabed in the depth of 70 meters on the
south from the port Bar. In consideration of the great depth, diving to this shipwreck is possible only with trimix, or
with closed breathing circuits. First of all it is necessary to obtain permit from several relevant ministries and that
is why it is possible to get to Zenta only with some official diving expedition.
